Mark Hurley

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Hurley serves as Chief Executive Officer of Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. Hurley previously served as Senior Vice President, Crude Oil and Offshore of Enterprise Products, LLC since 2010, where he led the newly formed crude oil and offshore business segment. Mr. Hurley began his career at Shell, where he served from 1981 to 2009, most recently as President of Shell Pipeline Co., LP.  

Mr. Hurley received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University.

Joel Kanvik

Chief Legal Officer

Joel Kanvik serves as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. Kanvik previously served as the Director of U.S. Law and Assistant Secretary for Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, which he joined in January 2001. He provided legal and business counsel to a family of corporations/limited partnerships, including the development and execution for large-scale construction/acquisition projects, mergers and acquisitions, contracts and licenses, intellectual property, litigation management and corporate governance.

Mr. Kanvik received his Bachelor of Business Administration in political science from Northwestern University, and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Andrew Woodward

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew Woodward serves as Chief Financial Officer of Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. Woodward has substantial financial experience across investment banking, corporate development, and corporate finance within the energy and midstream industry. Mr. Woodward previously served as Vice President, Finance and Treasurer of Andeavor Logistics (NYSE: ANDX), where he was appointed by its board of directors to be the principal financial officer. Prior to this appointment, he led investor relations for ANDX and started his career with Andeavor, now Marathon Petroleum, in corporate development leading valuation, structuring and economic analysis on over $10 billion of corporate and asset transactions. Before joining Andeavor, Mr. Woodward served as a vice president at RBC Capital Markets within its energy investment banking group where he advised on numerous large scale mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

 Mr. Woodward received his Bachelor of Arts in economics and philosophy from Colorado College and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Michael McLanahan

Chief Accounting Officer

Michael McLanahan serves as Chief Accounting Officer for Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. McLanahan brings 15 years of accounting experience in the public and private sectors. He has previously served the Partnership in various accounting roles, including the Corporate Controller, and he has served as an audit manager for the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP.

Mr. McLanahan received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Ouachita Baptist University, and is a certified public accountant in the state of Oklahoma.

Jeff Speer

Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Speer serves as Chief Operating Officer for Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. Speer’s nearly 25 years of operations management experience encompasses asphalt/emulsion, crude oil, pipeline and agricultural businesses. He previously served as Vice President of Operations for SemMaterials as well as Vice President of Operations for Koch Industries, Inc.

Mr. Speer received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.

Brian Melton

Chief Commercial Officer

Brian Melton serves as Chief Commercial Officer of Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. Melton brings over 18 years of senior level business development experience in the energy industry. He previously served as Vice President Business/Corporate Development at Inergy, LP in Kansas City, MO, responsible for sourcing, evaluation and execution of natural gas liquids, midstream, and storage-related investments and acquisitions. Prior to that role, he served as Director of Energy Investment Banking at A.G. Edwards/Wachovia Securities. He also served as Director of Business Development & Corporate Planning at TransMontaigne Inc., and was responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and execution of refined products, pipeline/midstream acquisitions and capital expansion projects.

Mr. Melton received his Master of Business Administration in finance from Arkansas State University.

Tim Moore

Vice President of Crude Pipeline & Terminal Operations

Tim Moore serves as Vice President of Crude Pipeline & Terminal Operations of Blueknight Energy Partners. Mr. Moore brings over 30 years experience in the midstream energy business, with special expertise in terminal operations, liquid petroleum gas and raw feed pipelines. He served as terminal manager and in various other capacities with Koch Industries from 1981-2005. He worked with Koch/Teppco operations in Cushing, OK, from 2005 to January 2010, when he joined the Blueknight operations team.
